A reputable company in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Equipment Technician to join their team in Salalah, Oman. This is a great opportunity for professionals who have strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing welding equipment in demanding industrial environments.
The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting complex faults in welding machines using advanced tools and techniques. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, ensuring all equipment operates at peak performance, and calibrating machines to meet strict industry standards. You will also handle repair and rebuilding of key components such as power supplies, wire feeders, and control systems, requiring both electrical and mechanical proficiency.
We are looking for candidates with 7–10 years of experience in the welding field, with a solid understanding of multiple welding processes including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW. A secondary school education is required, while additional certifications like AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Educator (CWE) will be considered a strong advantage.
