Job Description: Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. We are seeking a Welding Manager to join our team in La Porte, Texas. This role involves overseeing the performance and profitability of the Weld/Blade Department, assigning projects, reviewing cost estimates, and enhancing technical advancements within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the performance and profitability of the Weld/Blade Department.
- Assign work projects to Supervisors and Lead Men.
- Review cost estimates and provide feedback to operations and sales teams.
- Continuously improve technical advancements within the Weld/Blade Department.
- Stay informed about market technology trends to maintain industry superiority.
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree with 5+ years of hands-on turbo machinery experience or 10+ years of hands-on experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of turbo machinery repair.
